Welcome to Scrim Zone!

Scrim Zone is an in-house League of Legends server (Join Here) focused on competitive and fun 5v5 custom games. Scrim Zone offers two main formats of play, Signup Bo3s and the Team Format, in addition to Silly Scrims, which replace normal signups with for-fun game modes. Stats for all games in the server are on the stats page and information about the players can be found on the players page.

Harassment and Offensive Language of any kind is not allowed in Scrim Zone. Players of all ages are allowed to participate, so make sure any content shared is on par with or more appropriate than official Riot content. This includes but is not limited to: hate speech, sexually explicit content, illegal content or references to illegal content. If you are unsure about the contents of your message, do not send it and ask an admin for clarification. Hostaging or Forfeiting games in Scrim Zone is not allowed with the exception of forfeiting games in a series that would not lose you the series. Since this is a competitive game, some competitive banter is allowed/encouraged, but please use good judgement and don't make anything personal. Attendance to games you signed up for or agreed to play is required, as 9 other players will be waiting on you. Sometimes subs will be able to fill in, but repeated lateness/abscence may result in penalties or restrictions on future participation.

Game Mode Overviews

Signup Bo3s were the original format of Scrim Zone. They can run any day at 8pm EST, if 10 or more players sign up using the Signup Page of the server. Players that signed up will have 5 minutes to join (8:00-8:05 EST on the given day), and then any available players can take their spot. Once 10 players have joined the Lobby, two even teams will be generated from the player pool. Once teams are formed, they will be given either the "Green Team" or "Purple Team" roles in the server, and will be able to join the associated text and voice channels. In the case of 20 or more players, the Pink and Yellow teams roles will be used to run an additional simultaneous series. The draft for the first game will start 15 minutes after roles are assigned and will take place on DraftLol. Once the draft is completed, players will join a 5v5 custom Blind Pick Summoner's Rift game. After each game, the losing team will gain side selection for the next game, and the next draft will begin in 10 minutes. Once a team has won 2 games, the series is over.
Full Rules Here. The Team Format is a newer addition to Scrim Zone, and emulates Esports Leagues such as the LCS. The Team Format also serves to split Scrim Zone into "seasons", each of which features Awards Voting and a winning team, as well as benchmarks for our internal mmr system. At the beginning of each season, teams are formed from available players. Any player who has played 8 or more games of a signup format this season can play as a starter, and any player who has played 4 or more games of a signup format this season can play as a sub. Captains for this format are set before the start of the season, and they will build their teams from available players. Once all teams are finalized, the teams will be added to a schedule. The first part of the Team Format is a best of 3 double round robin between the teams called the regular season, with each team getting side selection against each other team once. These games will have draft start 10 minutes after their planned starting time (flexible to fit players' schedules), and will proceed the same as signup games (5v5 custom Blind Pick Summoner's Rift). Once the regular season is completed, the final standings will be used to seed teams into Playoffs, which consists of a bracket of best of 3 series. The Playoff series work similar to the Signup series with the draft times being 10 minutes, then 5 minutes instead of 15 then 10. Past award and season winners are featured in the #hall-of-fame channel on discord.
The Bracket Format is the newest format we offer. It allows all players to get a chance to experience bracket play without having to play through a regular season. This format requires 20 players to sign up, who will then be sorted into 4 evenly matched teams, and seeded into a double elimination bracket. Each match is best of 1, with 15 minutes provided for draft for the first game, and 10 minutes for each following game. This format is currently scheduled to run on On May 11th, June 22nd and July 27th.
Silly Scrims run once a week, on a rotation of days based on time of year. Silly Scrims can be a variety of formats, with an updated list here. The format will be picked ahead of time, either by the winning team of the previous Silly Scrim, or at random. Since the format is altered, these games won't be tracked for stats, and they do not need to be taken as seriously. The structure of Silly Scrims is the same as Signup Bo3s, except players may choose to all remain in lobby instead of going to team calls.
